The wines
The Podere San Michele has the good fortune to be located close to the sea, which means the wines we produce benefit from a mild climate with little rainfall as well as the estate’s stony, sandy and clay soil – all of which means that our wines can be distinguished by their solid character and their ripe fruit flavor thanks to the minerals in the soil that imbue big red wines with their characteristic ruggedness that warrants serious consideration.
The resulting wines are so good that they are counted amongst the best, the leading ones, attracting the attention of Fulvio Pierangelini, an internationally renowned chef and Giampaolo Talani, the painter and sculptor born in San Vincenzo whose work is also much appreciated in Europe and elsewhere. Both are good friends who have collaborated with us for years.
